Daniel Duro explains on Radio Estel what you need to know before filing your tax return

The partner in the tax department at Riba Vidal Abogados and associate professor of Tax Law at UPF breaks down taxpayers’ most common questions and warns about the changes that especially affect entrepreneurs this year

The tax return campaign kicked off this Wednesday for online filings, and with it the usual questions: Am I required to file if I’ve had two employers? What happens with income received through Bizum or with sales on Wallapop? Do energy efficiency home improvements really qualify for tax deductions?

To clear up these and other questions, Radio Estel spoke with Daniel Duro, partner in the tax department at Riba Vidal Abogados and associate professor of Tax Law at Universitat Pompeu Fabra (UPF). With more than fifteen years of experience advising companies and family estates, Duro offered a practical guide to help taxpayers avoid giving away a single euro to the Tax Agency or being caught off guard by the authorities.

One of the key messages of the interview was a warning to entrepreneurs: this year, according to Duro, they must pay closer attention than ever to regulatory changes that may directly affect their tax obligations. The expert also focused on Catalonia’s own regional tax deductions, an area many taxpayers are unaware of and one that can make a real difference in the final result of the return.
